The Alba Music Festival at Alba’s International White Truffle Fair

Sunday, October 4 – 11 – 18 – 25, November 1 – 8 – 15, 2015
Sunday, October 4th the Orchestra Femminile Italiana, formed by women, under the baton of Roberto Giuffre: soloists Giuseppe Nova and Engjellushe Bace which will open the season of Classica with a program ranging from Mozart’s Divertimento K187, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Double Concerto BVW 1060, the Flute Concerto in G major by Karl Stamitz.

Sunday, October 11th, a piano recital by Louis Demetrius Alvanis, London’s Greek origins well known soloist, will present a program dedicated to the Masters of the piano, going from Mozart’s Sonata K333, the “Waldstein” by Beethoven, to the famous Chopin’s Scherzo #2.

Sunday October 18th. The Mexican Enrique Batiz, among the most popular soloists of his country, after training at the Juilliard School in New York, was a finalist at the Marguerite Long Thibaud and the Busoni Competition and has since that time he started an international career; he is the founder of the State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico.

Sunday October 25th Abigeila Voshtina born in Albania but with a training in the Conservatory of Milan, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and the University of Indiana in Bloomington with Franco Gulli, she played with the La Scala Philharmonic, the Orchestra Sinfonica Verdi I Solisti Veneti, the Toscanini Orchestra, the Tenerife Symphony, the Symphony of Murcia, in collaboration celebrated International conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, George Pretre and Mtislav Rostropovich. She will be accompanied by the pianist Andrea Bacchetti, in a program that goes from Tartini’s Devil’s Trill to the Zingaresca by Pablo de Sarasate.

Sunday November 1st. The string quintet Talos Quintet with pianist Piero Rotolo, propose a rarity: the concert #1 of Fryderyc Chopin for piano and orchestra in chamber version by Chopin itself for string quintet and piano. The program will culminate in the second part with a Movie Suite dedicated to the famous soundtracks.

Sunday November 8th concert: Pierluigi Camicia, representative of high tradition Italian piano School, trained by great masters like Agosti, Caporali, Badura Skoda, Achucarro, esteemed and admired by artists such as Rostropovich, Ferrara, Ciccolini. He developed a successful international career after beeing finalist and winner of international competitions, such as Busoni, the Ciani and Chopin.

Sunday November 15th with the Viennese violinist Gernot Winischhofer and the spanish pianist Anna Ferrer. Winischhofer, after studies in Vienna, continued at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, with the greatest interpreters of the great Russian violin tradition. The program of great intensity and virtuosity, will presents works by Sarasate, Beethoven, Brahms and Kreisler.
