There are beach zones to enjoy along the lake, with snow-capped peaks guarding the lake in view, making it a beautiful destination. It is the world’s second-highest mountain lake in terms of altitude, so bring along some warm clothes even during the warmer months.
Trekking and camping are common activities in Kyrgyzstan, with each region offering its own attractions to enjoy. From Issky Kul Lake, you can head up to the glaciers that surround Karakol. You can explore Torugart Pass. There are skiing opportunities available as well. Something is available in almost every season.
Make sure you visit the various bazaars that can be found throughout Kyrgyzstan during your time here as well. The Osh Bazaar offers a traditional Eastern market, where you can find everything from household appliances to your favorite spices. The Dordoi Bazaar is the largest in the region and is a great place to find some deals.
Or, if you prefer, you can visit Son Kul and live like a nomad during your holiday.
