Travel to Iquique

Iquique was founded in the 16^th century, but didn’t begin to grow into a modern community until the saltpeter mining in the region began to take off in earnest. The ship is well-maintained, but groups must schedule a tour in advance.

At the Plaza Arturo Prat, you’ll find a clock tower that is a designated historic landmark. Completed in 1878, the mechanism still functions and was imported from England.

You’ll also find water parks, historic religious sites, and a fascinating military museum waiting to be explored during your stay.
